3/7/24 - UPDATE - The vehicle was located after it crashed early this morning. Thank you to residents who helped on this case. Deputies would still like to speak with the driver about their unsafe driving decisions.

Early in the morning of March 5th, a Lane County Sheriff’s deputy on Highway 99 south of Creswell attempted to stop a speeding vehicle that was weaving across the road. The vehicle eluded through Cottage Grove and then towards Row River. The deputy terminated the pursuit out of concern for the safety of other drivers on the road. We are asking for assistance locating the vehicle, a silver Honda Civic 2-door, Oregon license plate 702LHD.  If you know the whereabouts of the vehicle, please do not approach the driver, and call the Lane County Sheriff’s Office at 541-682-4150 option 1 and reference case #24-1139.
